View October calendarThe Gediz Delta is a meeting point for migratory birds, water, and nearby agricultural landscapes. Our original project examined how changes along migration routes may relate to shifts in seasonal and water conditions. That work now guides the development of Pursued Horizons products: clear planning resources informed by bird observations and conventional environmental information. Our first planning products are for İzmir, with the Gediz Delta as one research starting point.
Pursued Horizons was founded by Eylül Ayvaz. It began as a school project about migratory birds, grew into a TÜBİTAK project, and earned first place at an international competition. Today, Pursued Horizons carries that work forward by creating agricultural planning products that connect observations of nature with decisions people make on the ground.
